April 2016 Philippine National Police Cebu City, together with DBP Data Center Inc. (DCI), has made it possible for its residents to apply for a police clearance online.
Police Senior Superintendent Benjamin Santos Jr., Cebu City Police Office Director, and Nilo Cruz, President and Chief Executive Officer of the DBP Data Center, Inc., yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement to kick off the project.
Cebu City residents has to fill out an online form and get a reference number before going to the police clearance satellite office at White Gold, North Reclamation Area, for presentation of requirements, fingerprinting and photo capturing, and issuance of their clearance.
Online application requirements are still the same, which include the residence certificate or cedula, any government ID, birth certificate, and barangay clearance.
Applicants could expect faster processing of their clearances with the new scheme, and clearances processed online will be P5.00 cheaper than those processed in the satellite office.
